GOVERNMENTAL FACILITIES

Over the past 18 years, Mitchell Enterprises, Inc. has developed a niche in the Federal Contracting Market. MEI has contracted with the Department of the Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, General Services Administration (GSA), Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Labor, and MEDCOM (Army Medical Command). The projects completed by Mitchell have been located across the South-Central United States and in price ranges up to fifteen million dollars.

Mitchell Enterprises, Inc. has recently been involved with the new sealed Request for Proposal methods of Federal procurement adopted by several Federal agencies on select projects. Mitchell Enterprises is again preparing for the future, becoming more actively involved in Design/Build proposals.

Much of the Federal contracting work that has been contracted by MEI has been specialized. Mitchell has constructed projects such as asbestos abatement, total building renovations, tactical equipment maintenance and training facilities, aircraft control towers, and electro-magnetically shielded from the foundation to the roof.

This work has demanded the implementation of a contractor self-inspection system. The contractor quality control system, along with a safety program to fully comply with OSHA and Corps of Engineers standards, is the continuing commit by Mitchell Enterprises to provide quality construction throughout the building process. This Federal contracting work has developed MEI supervisors and project managers into a group of individuals capable of handling demanding project requirements, including complexity of construction, safety issues and critical path scheduling.
